Studio Etiquette

Tuesday 27th August

We are so thrilled to have each and every one of you as part of the Happy Melon Family. We pride ourselves on the experience created within these walls and as our family grows we wanted to share these simple studio guidelines, so we as a community can keep that experience alive.
The studio is buzzing and we couldn’t be happier but this also means we have a larger number of people booking classes and not showing up. This isn’t fair for the rest of our community who miss out on their valuable studio time. If you are unable to attend your booked class please do your best to cancel at least 3 hours before the class. Alternatively you can email or call to let us know you can’t make it. This will allow those on our waitlists the opportunity to practice.
We always encourage you to arrive at least 5-10 minutes prior to your class. This gives you the chance to settle and enjoy a warming tea before you begin your practice. Due to the nature of our meditation classes, it’s important to ensure you have arrived, placed your valuables away, and are settled in the room prior to the start of class. If the meditation door is closed the class has begun and we ask that you head back down to reception.
We appreciate that for many in our community the time spent here might be the only opportunity for tranquility in their day. As such, we ask that everyone be mindful of conversation levels outside of classes – especially upstairs in the vicinity of the meditation room. Please leave your phone outside the studio or keep it safely stored in your bag or locker and set to airplane mode. We have a beautiful courtyard and café space you are welcome to use for catch-ups and phone calls.
We take great pride in being able to provide the facilities that we do for our community. All our facilities and products are yours to use, we only ask that you do your best to leave the space as you found it. This ensures that the person who comes after you can enjoy it too. If you notice something has run out please let our reception team know.
Our instructors will always ensure that class starts and finishes on-time. We ask that you honour the full practice and remain for Savasana. This is your time to absorb the full benefits to your body and mind. If you have to leave early, please let your instructor know before the class has begun. When when we start and finish together, the energy we create is magic.
