Happy Melon is thrilled to be hosting 2017 Archibald Prize finalist Julius Killerby’s first solo exhibition in our Willis St Space this October.
Julius Killerby was born in Perth in 1995. He is currently a Melbourne based artist, working predominantly with oil paint. He has shown at the VCA Art Space, the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Lumen Gallery, Hudson Square Gallery in Armadale and has sold work throughout Australia. His work addresses the relationship between traditional and contemporary modes of art practice. Moreover, his recent body of work specifically analyzes the evolution of humanity in “the age of the machine”. Killerby also completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2017 and was an Archibald Prize finalist in the same year.
Join us on Friday October 5th from 6:30pm – 8pm for the opening evening of the exhibition, an opportunity to meet Killerby as well as purchase and commission new works. Enjoy some delicious nibbles and a little wine and a celebration of this artist’s exceptional talent.
