We have created the below Happy Melon Health & Safety Guidelines – details of which include social distancing measures, cleaning & hygiene practices, in-house behaviours and emergency follow-up procedures. These are our Phase One guidelines and they will continue to be updated as we go. Please familiarise yourself with each section as we will be asking everyone who joins us in studio to adhere to these guidelines closely. Happy Melon is committed to providing a safe studio environment for our clients and our team. This information is subject to change in accordance with the most up-to-date government recommendations surrounding COVID-19. Thank you for your cooperation. We can’t wait to see you in studio soon.
ALL STUDIOS
• Please use hand sanitiser when entering and leaving the studio
• For now, the studio and all communal areas will not be open before or after class
• Please arrive on time (not early) for class and leave in as timely a manner as possible
• Always check-in to your class at the front desk or with your instructor, be patient and mindful of others in this process
• Only two clients are to be in the reception area at any time – those waiting to check in should follow signage and observe 1.5m social distancing
• Tea and water stations are closed for the time being
• All changerooms/showers are closed for the time being
• This means the only available toilet will be the Unisex on the first floor at High St and the outdoor toilets at Willis St – please refrain from using the bathrooms unless absolutely necessary
• We suggest changing at home and using your personal bathroom facilities where possible
• Please come ready to practice (changed into your workout clothes, carrying very few personal belongings)
• The communal cubbies are closed for the time being. All belongings including coats and shoes will be brought into class with you and left by your mat
• Please turn your phone off when in class
• Please bring your own mat – mats will not be provided and you will not be able to practice without one
• Please bring your own (already full) water bottle – the water stations will not be in use
• Please bring your own towel and wash it at home after each use
• If you have any flu-like symptoms, please stay at home
HIGH ST STUDIO
• Enter the studio through the side door (as usual) and proceed to reception to check in
• Please note, the alleyway will be one-way for entrance only
• The staircase and second floor are closed unless you are attending a meditation class or have an appointment
• Once you have checked in for class, please proceed immediately into the studio and lay down your mat with the top end against the designated sticker
• Exit through the studio door directly back on to High St if you are attending a class in the Yoga room
WILLIS ST STUDIO
• Enter through the café door (as usual) and proceed immediately to the studio where your instructor will greet you and sign you in
• Proceed directly to your Reformer with your belongings
• Exit class through the studio door directly back on to Willis St

BOOKING / PAYMENT
• All classes must be booked and paid for in advance via MindBody – there will be no availability for drop-ins during this time
• All payments must be made online via MindBody – we will not be accepting EFTPOS or cash payments in-studio
• While we can process payment for you in studio via MindBody we ask that where possible you complete payment yourself online prior to class – this will enable our Front of House staff to focus on check-ins and helping people adjust to the new studio flow
REFORMER CLASSES
• maximum capacity of 10 participants with Reformers spaced more than 1.5m apart
• no mats/props available for use
• bring your own towel/water
• class will start and finish on the Reformer beds
• please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before class
• pre-booking online via MindBody is essential, no drop-ins
• at the end of class, please wipe down your bed with the cleaning wipes provided
MOVEMENT CLASSES IN THE YOGA STUDIO (YOGA, MAT PILATES, FITNESS)
• maximum capacity of 10 participants with clearly marked out area for mat placement more than 1.5m apart
• no mats/props available for use
• bring your own mat/towel/water
• please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before class
• pre-booking online via MindBody is essential, no drop-ins
MEDITATION CLASSES
• maximum capacity of 8 participants with meditation chairs placed more than 1.5m apart
• please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before class
• pre-booking online via MindBody is essential, no drop-ins
It is compulsory that you bring your own mat, towel and water bottle to all classes to ensure personal hygiene standards are met. You are welcome to bring a full size towel and/or bolster to use as a prop, especially in yoga as we will not be supplying props for now.
We are observing strict social distancing in all common areas and classes. We ask that you maintain 1.5m distance from all others in the space and remain respectful of everyone that is choosing to practice in person with us right now.
To ensure the safety of clients and staff, we have implemented the following processes for Treatments:
• No early arrival or family members joining – please arrive alone and on time and the therapist will let you in
• Your therapist will open the studio door and treatment room door for you
• Please refrain from using the bathrooms unless absolutely necessary
• No drink / tea station – please bring your own bottle
• Your therapist will be wearing a face mask
• There will be 15mins between every treatment to allow for cleaning and sterilising of room between guests
• All payments must be made prior to your appointment via your Mindbody account
• If you have any flu-like symptoms, please stay at home
STUDIO SPACES
• Hand sanitising stations are set up at the entrance to each studio and room – please use them upon entering and exiting
• For Reformer classes please clean and disinfect all equipment before and after each class
• Gloves (single use cotton) are available for anyone wanting to use them, but are not mandatory
COMMUNAL AREAS
• Hourly cleaning and disinfecting of common areas such as the front desk, handrails and door handles.
• Tea and water stations are closed for the time being
• All changerooms/showers are closed for the time being

Do not come to the studio or attend class is you are exhibiting signs of fever, cough, sore throat, if you have been overseas in the past 14 days, or have been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID.
Accurate record keeping of every client and their contact details is in effect, so in the event a client is affected, we will quickly and effectively contact those necessary – as per the contact tracing process.
